I believe it is your right to have the birth you desire and am here to support you no matter what type of birth and location you choose —home, hospital, birthing center, vaginal, cesarean, etc. I'm here to execute your plan and get you to this lovely baby's birthday!
Here's an idea of the doula experience:
1-2 prenatal visits: We will discuss birth preferences/plan, review of comfort measures, information on when to call me, preparation for hospital/return home, resources for breastfeeding.
**One of these visits can also be used for me to accompany you on an MD/Midwife visit if this is your desire.
On-call for delivery two weeks before and after birth,
I'm with you for two hours after birth (postpartum support/lactation support)
Postpartum Visit
2-7 days, within the first week of delivery (this is based on family's preference)
I am there to hold baby while you sleep, assist with nursing/pumping concerns, wash dishes, organize the nursery, give mama a massage, etc.; this appointment is your choice!
Once you hire me as your doula, you have unlimited access by phone, email, and text until your final visit.
Doula FAQ’s
Can a doula assist with a medicated birth?
Yes, we can still assist you with comfort measures prior to during and after epidural, breathing/relaxation techniques, positioning, partner support/relief, lactation initiation and support, etc.
Can a doula assist with a hospital birth?
Absolutely! We will adhere to hospital policies and procedures, while also ensuring that you have the birth you desire and deserve.
Can a doula help with a cesarean?
Yes, a doula is there to provide continuous emotional, informational and physical support. We can still assist you with post-surgical comfort measures, partner support/relief, positioning of baby after birthing, lactation initiation and support, etc
